Florida Family Vacations is my blog about travel in and around Orlando Florida. It's about the theme parks - Disney World, Universal Studios, Sea World and all the smaller places of interest too. It's about traveling with families and saving money! These are the notes I use to put in my travel book "The Mom's Miserly Guide:Disney, Universal, Sea World on $25 a Day!"

Blizzard Beach Blast!

Well, The Most Miserly Mom, me had a blast at Blizzard Beach yesterday. It really is a fabulous park. The weather was beautiful. I know it was getting cold in other parts of the country, but down here in Orlando it was about 87 degrees and sunny and wonderful. The humidity is dropping, the lines weren't too long and it was a perfect day for a water park.

The great thing about Disney's Blizzard Beach is that it can be such a wonderful day for the entire family. There is something for everyone from toddlers to teens to seniors. And there are definitely ways to be Miserly!

Parking is free at Blizzard Beach.
You can bring coolers to Blizzard Beach.
You can play all day at Blizzard Beach.

There is an area just for little kids where they won't even let bigger kids in, so the little ones won't get splashed and jumped on. Isn't that great?

There is another area where moms & dads can relax and sunbathe while there little ones can frolich in the water and go down slides and climb and splash and jump and have a complete blast. It can be relaxing and fun for all.

At the same time teens can completely challenge themselves to fearsome slides and and shutes and boblseds and flumes.

Then the family can go together on a family flume ride or on the lazy river. All the while you can sing songs together and splish/splash too.

As for me? I did all of the above except the complete challenge of the Summit Plummet! I just couldn't do it yesterday.
